General comments
Overleg met arts-microbioloog of internist-infectioloog over diagnostiek en behandeling.
Indien ernstig ziek onder, voeg ciprofloxacine po 2dd 500mg iv of ciprofloxacine 2dd 400mg iv toe.
Neem bij systemische verschijnselen altijd 2 sets bloedkweken af.
Neem bij verdenking op osteomyelitis op steriele wijze (bot)weefsel af voor kweek. Neem, biopten af via intacte, gedesinfecteerde en niet-geïnfecteerde huid om contaminatie van het biopt door huid-of wondflora te voorkomen.
