General comments
Valganciclovir 2dd 900 mg po kan ook gebruikt worden in plaats van ganciclovir i.v.
Orale therapie wordt niet aangeraden bij levensbedreigende CMV ziekte, indien er vermoeden is op verminderde absorptie van valganciclovir of bij vermoeden van therapieontrouw.
Indien mogelijk immuunsuppressiva afbouwen (SOT), of immuunstatus verbeteren (start cART bij aids).
